The Youth Advocacy Task Force (YATF) is a statewide coalition of youth and child advocates, educators and others working against dating, intimate partner and sexual violence from around Vermont. We acknowledge the specific injustices experienced by young people and are dedicated to holding their integrity and human rights as paramount in our commitment to promoting healthy sexuality and safe and respectful relationships for all people.
We meet regularly to share resources, design children and youth related materials, and support one another in carrying on this important and challenging work.
The idea to produce a blog grew out of a desire to share our work and other youth related resources with a wider audience. In each post,we will highlight topic areas related to domestic and sexual violence and how these issues affect children and youth in Vermont.
YATF is a project of the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence; and 14 member programs serving all of Vermont with crisis support and community based awareness and prevention. You can find the program that serves your area here: find your member program
For immediate assistance and support, you can contact Vermont’s domestic and sexual violence hotlines 24/7 and talk to an advocate. The hotlines are confidential for people 18 and over and people under 18 can choose to remain anonymous.
